Our Family Life Education programs encourage individuals, parents and families to develop healthy and caring relationships by providing education and support.
We provide a variety of education and support programs for individuals and parents to create healthy and supportive environments for themselves and their families.

CALM & CONFIDENT PARENTING
Wednesdays
Starting January 7th (8 sessions total)
12:30pm-2:30pm

In these sessions, you'll gain invaluable insights into cultivating life-long skills and positive habits for your preschool and elementary school-aged children. The discussions will cover a wide range of themes. Free child care available for children 18 months to 10 years with pre-registration. Snacks and bus tickets are also available.

CIRCLE OF SECURITY
Mondays
Starting January 12 (8 sessions total) *no program February 16

Circle of Security is an evidence-based parenting program designed to strengthen the parent-child relationship by enhancing caregivers’ understanding of their child’s emotional needs. Grounded in attachment theory, this course guides caregivers in recognizing and responding to their child’s cues in ways that build secure attachments. By the end of the program, participants gain practical insight into their child’s behavior and emotional world, leading to stronger, more responsive relationships that foster healthy development.

Join us for this program to explore the world together with your children through science experiments, baking, creative reading and writing, music and movement. Suitable for children 2-6 years of age. Parents must attend with child.

IMMIGRANT WOMEN SUPPORT GROUP
Fridays
Starting January 9th (10 sessions)

Come and meet other immigrant women who share similar experiences. Learn about community resources while sharing your stories in a safe and supportive environment. Free child care available for children 18 months to 10 years with pre-registration. Snacks and bus tickets are also available.

PARENTING PRE-TEENS

Join us in a safe and welcoming space for engaging and informative sessions where you will learn about how to connect with your school-age child (7 - 12 years). Pre-teen age is a extremely sensitive period in a child’s life, which can be very stressful for both child and a parent. -

Raising children in a new country is a difficult task. Come and learn useful information on child development, the Canadian school system, child-care options, positive discipline, healthy nutrition and much more. This program is designed to help you get to know your child better while equipping you with valuable skills and tools to boost your confidence as a parent. It's essential to remember that none of us are perfect – we all have our challenges. Nobody's Perfect!! Free child care available for children 18 months to 10 years with pre-registration.
