Understanding the Early Years Burnaby Family Life continues to sponsor the Burnaby Understanding the Early Years (UEY) Project on behalf of the Burnaby Early Childhood Development Table – a coalition of 30 community and government agencies providing support to young children and their families in Burnaby. BFL is the Host Agency, responsible for managing this 3 year project with $350,000 in grant funding from the Federal Government to research and co-ordinate services for children ages 0-6. Community Action Programs for Children BFL is the Host Agency, responsible for managing financial and program outcome reporting on behalf of this coalition of l0 family serving agencies delivering services in the Fraser Region. BFL has been responsible for the disbursement and evaluation of programs (revenues exceeding $500,000 per year) in service delivery on behalf of this 10 agency coalition for the past 15 years. Violence is Never Acceptable Our Community Co-ordinating Committee mandate is to increase community co-ordination by all service providers to improve services for families experiencing violence and abuse.
