We are a deeply rooted, community-based, non-profit multi-service agency located in Burnaby, B.C. that was established in 1971. Our extensive network and broad base of programs and services have built us a respected reputation – a privileged role we’ve grown into over almost 4 decades.




Programs Accredited 2008 - 2011
BFL has been accredited by two international organizations, The Council on Accreditation (COA) and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). In 2004, COA awarded BFL a four-year certificate stating “COA is proud to welcome Burnaby Family Life to the Community of Excellence, that unique group of providers that meets the highest standards for professional performance.” In 2008, BFL was recognized with two exemplary awards by CARF for responding to the diversity of the community and building community capacity. The CARF accreditation award is confirmed until 2011.
