For those of you who have followed our campaign and are interested in knowing more about the moms that come through, here is a more detailed version of Erika's story.
Erika was young, homeless, and in an abusive relationship and had reached a challenging crossroad in her life when she found out that she was pregnant. It didn’t take her long to realise that she was going to be a single mom. Young, unsupported and inexperienced Erika was not sure how she was going to take care of herself or her baby.

This letter was received in the mail from a client of ours. We're reprinting it here with permission. Thank you, Katerina!
My name is Katerina. Originally, I’m from Russia. I’m a mother of three children. My four year old son, Levon, is the youngest one. We came to Canada in July 2010 and in September I started the ELSA 5 class in “Riverway School.” My son was attending the daycare at the same location.
