As a valued community supporter or program participant of Burnaby Family Life
Institute, we need you to demonstrate your care and concern for the work we do
by becoming a member!
As BFLI pursues financial independence and best practices at all levels of
the organization, it is important for us to demonstrate to Foundations,
Corporations, the Gaming Commission, private donors and other funders the broad
constituency of community based support that we enjoy.
Benefits
The benefits of membership include receiving up to date information about
program offerings, notice of special events, voting privileges at our Annual
General Meeting, a chance to contribute ideas and strategies to further quality
programming and most importantly, an opportunity to support families in need.
At just $10 per year, our membership fee is kept
purposefully low in order to make it affordable for everyone. We are pleased,
also, to provide free membership to families experiencing financial need,
because it’s important to us to affirm every community member who would like to
belong.
Donations
With this membership drive, we are also seeking donations that will further the
work we do in the community. Your donation from $25 to $250 could make it
possible for BFL to assist:
- a teenage mother struggling to graduate from high school
- a battered woman determined to end the cycle of violence
- immigrant families overcoming language and cultural
barriers, struggling to find jobs, affordable housing and integrate into the
community
- young children whose parents have separated or divorced
- young children whose mothers have been physically and/or
sexually abused
- a single father struggling to overcome his anger, fear &
depression
- pregnant women experiencing poverty, language/cultural
barriers and a lack of family support
- parents who desperately want to make a better life for
their children
Whatever your circumstances, please consider making a contribution that is
meaningful and affordable for you. Every donation we receive, no matter how
large or small can make a difference in the life of a child or family who is
less fortunate. Show your support and be part of a caring community.
