History
Burnaby Family Life is a non-profit Society providing leadership in the development of community based services.
We were incorporated in February 1971 by representatives of the (then) Ministry of Social Services, the Burnaby School District Adult Continuing Education Department, the Ministry of Health Prevention Services (Community Health Nursing), Burnaby Psychiatric Services, the Burnaby Business Community and Burnaby
residents.
Providing a wide variety of group education, counselling and support programs, the agency's mission is
"To provide services and opportunities delivered by caring and trusted professionals to nurture people, families and communities, in all their diversity, to reach their full potential.."

Our Commitment
Burnaby Family Life is committed to the principles of equality in relationships and empowerment of individuals in society.
A range of services including Family Life education, emotional and practical support and clinical treatment is offered in safe, non-judgmental, individual and group settings.
Programs model balance of power in relationships, individual responsibility, mutual respect, democratic problem solving, conflict resolution and effective communication skills.
